Hello, I'm Nina!

At Clear Dog Training I strive to provide the best possible care for your dog. I am dedicated to using only positive dog training techniques to ensure your dog is happy and healthy. I am Qualified & Approved by the IMDT, a member of the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter, a qualified Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy Instructor, and hold a Level 3 OCN Accredited Certification in the Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour. In addition, I am a member of the MDWA and hold qualifications in dog walking and canine first aid. I continue to expand my knowledge through a number of different continuing professional development courses to ensure I am able to offer sound, science-backed and up to date training methods and advice.

Tailored Training Programmes

I understand that every dog is unique and requires different things from training. That's why I offer tailored training programmes that are tailored to meet your dog's specific needs and goals. We'll work together at a pace that works for you and your dog to build good training foundations as you develop. The Clear Dog Training approach ensures that you see benefits from the outset and training remains fun for you and your dog!

How I got here

I have always loved dogs, but had both good and bad experiences with dogs during childhood. This sparked an interest in the reasons for different behaviours in dogs and dog training which continued to grow when I got my own dog. My key goal was to ensure my dog was happy and healthy, but importantly well-behaved and safe around different people and in varied environments. This led to me seeking a clear dog training approach that I could adjust based on the needs of me and my dog, and our lifestyle, ensuring we could get out on adventures together!

It wasn't always a straightforward road as I tried to find different ways to train the behaviours we were aiming for - things that had worked for our dogs when I was younger didn't all work for my dog and this really appealed to my love of troubleshooting, adapting and improving to evolve my approaches and techniques.

The outcome was well worth the effort and we built a great partnership!

What Our Clients Say

Chocolate labrador lying on floor with toy

I contacted Nina after adopting Paddy at 5 months old. He hadn’t been trained in his first few months very much at all and we were really struggling with him jumping up at everyone in sight, no recall and pulling on lead. Nina has been amazing during our 1:1 sessions and Paddy has fallen in love with her.

She has such a positive view of training and everything is done in a calm and happy way that training has been so enjoyable. I didn’t really notice but she was also training me which helped me relax on walks. I also really wanted to be able to take him to places where we could have a drink or lunch and Nina came up with ways of helping Paddy behave in different settings. My best moment was being out for lunch with Paddy sat under the table and at the end of our meal, the people on the next table saw Paddy poke his face out and they couldn’t believe there had been a dog there the whole time.

I adore Paddy and wanted a trainer to enhance our joy with him rather than be a chore.

Nina is a first class trainer and would recommend her to anyone who wants to enhance their time with their fur baby.

Thank you Nina for everything.
